From humble beginnings to a city icon, the bricks and mortar of the Bakehouse Steakhouse is filled with over a century of stories. The building maintains and celebrates remnants of its past life as Haleys Bakery where its story began back in 1875. As the first chapter of the buildings rich history, it set the foundation for what would emerge as the Bakehouse Steakhouse in the late 70’s. For decades, the restaurant became the place to be and was the setting for a generation of lifelong memories. From birthday parties to weddings, The Bakehouse Steakhouse became a part of the Ipswich community and engrained in the history of the city.
